What is a chat moderator?

The title chat moderator is also known as a community moderator, online moderator, moderator agent. Regardless of the title given, the job is still the same.

An online moderator is hired to monitor a client chat room, message board, forum, blog, and or social media accounts.

You know when you see something offensive or inaccurate on social media and the post gets taken down?

Think of yourself as a polices this means your job is to protect the companies page to preserve the client’s reputation and brand image.

As a ModSquad independent contractor, your job is to chat with customers via social media, moderate forums, and manage online communities. 

The application process is simple and they typically reply within 72 hours. The good news is that even if you don’t get accepted, for now, they’ll keep your CV in their files and contact you once they have a project that matches your profile. The expecting pay $8 – $10 per hour and payment pay through Paypal.

#2 Operadorchat 

Operadorchat is one of the newest companies on the scene, having been established only in 2016. They pay per message instead of an hourly rate, with average weekly earnings coming up to $200 according to the company.

You can work as many hours as you can, whenever you want. The expected pay is up to 35 cents per message and averages $200 per week.

#3 Liveworld

Liveworld hires both full-time and part-time work-from-home customer service agents to provide customer service and marketing engagement. As a LiveWorld agent, you should be both fluent in the language you’re supporting and in English.

Your primary responsibility at LiveWorld will include responding to customers’ social media posts, responding to user content in a social context, and triaging customer questions.

This isn’t a phone-based position. Since you’ll be doing a lot of writing, you should have excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills.
